  • MidAmerica Bank
MidAmerica Bank's history began in 1922 in the communities of Cicero and Berwyn. Many residents of Chicagoland neighborhoods, newly arrived to this country, chose to bank with us. By 1934 the bank had grown into a federally-chartered institution and was renamed the Cicero Federal Building and Loan. Twenty years later, MidAmerica Insurance Agency, a subsidiary which offers a full line of insurance products to consumers and businesses, was established. In 1961 the bank was renamed again, this time as MidAmerica Federal Savings and Loan Association.
Throughout its long history and many changes and expansions, MidAmerica has remained true to its roots in the ethnic neighborhoods of Chicago and the suburbs. The bank has become a leading mortgage lender in the western suburbs and the largest independent thrift in Chicagoland. We were founded on the principles of democracy, fairness and stability, and we continue to act on those ideals by delivering high-quality products and friendly, customer-oriented service.
