The Simmons Crabdree Insurance Agency was founded in 1969 by Francis E. Simmons. The
agency was originally called Simmons Insurance Agency. In 1972, Byron Simmons joined the
agency after spending 3 years in the insurance business in Phoenix, Arizona.
In 1985, Chuck Crabdree joined the agency after leaving First Federal Savings and Loan
Association, where Chuck had served as the Payson Branch Manager since 1974. Scott
Crabdree joined the agency in 1997 after moving back to Payson from Albuquerque, New
Mexico where he owned a Farmers Insurance agency. Scott started that agency in 1991.
