Grain Dealers Mutual Insurance Company began business in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1902,
incorporated under the laws of Indiana as the "Grain Dealers National Mutual Fire
Insurance Company". Our original business was writing fire and allied lines insurance
for agribusiness - specifically commercial grain elevators. In 1951, charter powers were
