History:
Nodak Mutual was founded to protect farmers and ranchers from the natural disasters they
faced in their business. The founders' basic objective was to offer property insurance
protection and quality service at a reasonable cost to Farm Bureau members. The first
Company Board of Directors elected in 1946 consisted of: W.A. Plath, John Dawson, P.J.
Donnelly, Benjamin P. Gorder, Ira Fandray, Edwin Traynor and Angus Kennedy.
Nodak Mutual has expanded the tradition set forth by its founders and today, we offer a
diverse portfolio of products including, home, farm and ranch, auto, business, crop-hail,
life, long-term care, health, securities and annuities.
